Asia: Global Challenges, Regional Conflicts, and National Logics
The next German Association for Asian Studies’ (DGA) biannual Conference on Contemporary Asia will be held April 3–5, 2019 in Würzburg, Germany. The conference languages will be German and English.

*Conference fees increase by EUR 15 starting March 1.
Please note that DGA membership fee is EUR 110 for regular members and EUR 55 for students.
The conference fees cover access to all panels, key notes, and the welcome reception, as well as printed conference materials, lunches and refreshments.
For the time being, the DGA will not offer any travel subsidies or conference fee waivers. Should funds become available at a later date, we will publish this information accordingly.
Travel and Accommodation
We are negotiating with selected local hotels in order to offer a choice of accommodation at preferential rates for conference participants. We will post relevant information here as soon as possible along with travel advice.
